Policies
APPOINTMENTS All appointments are scheduled by calling the office at 505-438-6590. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday. 24-hour emergency service is available by calling the office number. After hours, follow the instructions to reach our on-call veterinarian. HOSPITALIZATION If your horse is admitted to the hospital, a written estimate is given which will include the amount of deposit required at the time the horse is admitted. All other fees will be due and payable at time of discharge. EMERGENCIES If you have an emergency with your horse, or need extensive veterinary care, every effort will be made to provide you with an accurate estimate of cost before treatment so that you can make an informed decision about proceeding with treatment. Financing is available. PAYMENT Payment is due at time of service to help maintain the practice's level of excellence. Thal Equine offers several payment options. These include: cash, check, Visa or Mastercard, and CareCredit, a financing plan.
