Who we are
Thal Equine LLC is an equine veterinary hospital near Santa Fe, New Mexico. This policy explains what information we collect from clients, how we use it, and how we handle text messages.
Information we collect
When you become a client or contact us, we collect your name, address, phone numbers, email address, and information about your animals and their medical care. If you pay us, we keep a record of the payment. We collect this information directly from you, from your veterinarian if you were referred, and from the care we provide.
How we use your information
We use your information to care for your animals, keep medical records, schedule appointments, send invoices and receipts, and communicate with you about your animals’ care. We may share medical information with a referring or follow-up veterinarian, a laboratory, or a specialist when it is needed for your animal’s care, or when the law requires it.
Text messages (SMS)
With your permission, Thal Equine sends text messages about your own animals’ care — for example check-ins after treatment, follow-up and recheck reminders, appointment confirmations and reminders, invoice notices, and replies to your questions. We ask for your permission when you give us your mobile number, and we record your answer.
Message frequency varies with your animal’s treatment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You can also call us to change your preference.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your text-messaging consent with any third party for their marketing purposes. Mobile numbers and consent are used only to send the messages described above.
How we protect your information
Your records are kept in secure, access-controlled systems used only by our staff and the service providers who help us run the practice (for example our practice-management software, email, and text-message providers). Those providers may use the information only to provide their service to us.
Your choices
You may ask to see or correct the contact information we hold about you, or change how we contact you, at any time by calling or emailing us.
